Trending News: An Indian woman, who works as a chartered accountant by professsion, recently gave a look into her office life in Europe through a Instagram video that has now gone viral. Earlier this week, Jyoti Saini, currently working with KPMG Netherlands, posted a clip showing what her workplace looks like after working hours. In the clip, she can be seen filming herself as she says, “It’s currently 5:10, and look at my office.” She then turned the camera across empty rows of desks and chairs, expresssing surprise that not a single colleague was at work after 5 pm.

The video read the caption “Corporate shock” and has already garnered over two million views so far.

Debate on work culture

As expected, Saini’s post started a discussion on different work cultures. People shared their thoughts in the comments, comparing Europe’s style of working with India’s long hours and late-night office schedules.
One user said, “The key point is work ethics. Most people in the West start early, avoid long breaks, finish their tasks, and leave on time.” Another added, “They usually begin sharp at 8 am and focus fully, which itself makes eight hours of proper, uninterrupted work.” Some users, however, joked that if Indian managers were present in such offices, things might look very different.

Balance in work and life

Most comments agreed that this approach should be normal everywhere. European offices focus on beginning early, working with concentration, and finishing on time. This way, efficiency is maintained, and personal life is not affected.
